part art workshop
Inspired by the book “No Bad Parts” by Richard Schwartz, this workshop offers a safe space to connect with and create with our parts.
This framework sugguests that our psyches are made up of many parts. These parts have different ideas about what we (our true self) need. We say there are no bad parts, because all of the parts believe that they are helping us to survive. It is incredibly beneficial for us to identify and connect with these parts so that we can update them, communicate with them which helps us understand ourselves.
When we can identify and bring into awareness our parts we can help them to release control and we can act and live more often from our true self who is: confident, creative, clear, calm, connected, compassionate and courageous.
No art experience necessary, only a willingness to play.
BYO Art Supplies including paper/sketchbook, favorite drawing or coloring supplies, collage elements/magazines or whatever you have on hand.
Through guided visualization and creative prompts, we will create a safe space inside from which these characters can come out to play.
